It’s the end of the world (but not really) as we know it, and I feel fine. Well, that’s not entirely true. After my workout yesterday, plus kickboxing today, my abs hurt like a bitch. But that’s okay, because there’s still enough fat to cushion them. Goal in 2013: stop being a lazy motherfucker. Another goal in 2013: stop using sentences that contain cushioning fat. Have a good night, everyone. Be safe if you’re partying til the end of the world!

Spent the evening working out (what?)! Yes, it’s true. My music lesson got cancelled, so the choices became: sleep! … Or workout. And considering how much I HAVEN’T been working out, well… I knew what I had to do. I listened to the original broadway soundtrack to “Les Mis” in order to get ready, because that made as much sense to me as voluntarily working out in rain/snow conditions. And it was cold. And wet. And I could barely see. But I did it! Have a good night, everyone.
I ran out of time to post yesterday. I was all set to, and then went to do something else. Shame, too, because yesterday was full of goodness. 5-mile run that turned out to be pretty energizing, despite the grey conditions, and I think I came up with a short story/essay idea. I got less than 4 hours of sleep, though, so I’m pretty braindead and not sure why I’m up now, and not sure when I’ll go to sleep, and not sure why I’m using so many commas. Also, I’d like to talk about cellulite. What is it, and… I’m not done yet.
“Well, I looked my demons in the eyes, laid bare my chest, said, ‘Do your best, destroy me. You see, I’ve been to hell and back so many times, I must admit you kind of bore me.’” – Ray LaMontagne I’m starting December off on a good note. As mentioned, I saw that guy last night in concert. It was amazing – and though I went by myself – I didn’t feel weird (well, once the music started, anyway… fate would have it that I was in the very last row in the theatre by the wall, sandwiched in between… I’m not done yet.
Today was a day of doing things: I cleaned some, I slept some, and I took up running again. I’ve come to the conclusion that cleaning would be a lot easier if it didn’t take so long. (And also, if I didn’t have so much STUFF.) I have a bajillion loads of laundry to do now, because I finally picked up what was on my bedroom floor – but this time I’ll get quarters before I decide to do any. I also found a gas bill that was due yesterday (oops?) and I almost threw away my renewed credit card… I’m not done yet.
